Sep 3, 2010 - @BreakerByte technically kesha didn't steal the melody, because the melody of "streets of cairo" was never copyrighted, and also, there have been several songs that was utilises the same melody. artists like green day, the beatles, ying yang twins, oasis etc have all used the melody in one of their songs. Also you can't blame her for using the melody, it is very catchy and extremely versitile musically :) but yeah i can understand your frustration of the lack of originality i the song
